In My Videos I Never Notice Clutter

In my videos, I never notice clutter. We move along the neighborhood streets, poles with white flags on the back of our recumbent bikes. I see a man on a child’s bike going to work. The music I distrust stirs my inner fool, and oh, I found my phone—all my loved ones called your car. I left it in your back seat. Thanks for letting me borrow it, your car that is. All my loved ones were headed east with you in my address book, past Las Vegas with everyone I know.  The world regrets longer than it wishes and the white chalk buildings in full sunlight remain in our eyes. I’m part falling but the earth races faster ahead so I fly (might as well) as I fall. I leap over the edge, building new wing on the way down.
