i woke up from a fever dream nap, looked at your painting on my wall, and forgave you.

i woke up from a fever dream nap,
take colour
for i will forgive their wickedness
forsake colour
and will remember their sins no more
embrace doubt hunger

looked at your painting on my wall
eyes open – a mosaic object
allure of cinnamon-pink koi
in a shallow pool

and forgave you.
a spiral unwinds
for if you forgive other people when they sin against you
there is no suggestion of illusion
your heavenly father will also forgive you
now exhale
