Friday evenings

A pride badge at Allan Gardens
retold on a grainy jpeg on my phone.
What do you think of the colour?
“It’s transitional, but not in a chaotic way, it’s calming.”
It follows me around.
Next week on a park bench:
I pinch the pavement with my thumbs,
zoom in and hand it to you:
a lilac love
heart sat on a pavement
crack.
“You’re going to write a poem about this
and share it with me.”
