sand
for he it
means
joy and memories
he’s
recalling moments with
grandma
on the beach
laughing
good times rolling
as
sand scratches up
his
leg and it’s
okay
because he’s having
fun
sand is happiness.
sand
for she it
means
jobs and bills
of
ends not meeting
hating
seashore property rent
oh
sand is the
ick
that clogs her
pores
and it’s not
okay
because she’s slaving
away
sand is work.
sand
for me it
means
missed opportunities, chances
forgoed
lines drawn but
washed
out and down
sand
is just a
reminder
of what i
could
be if i
tried
sand is waste.
sand
for us it
means
Lives gone and
here
moments suspended in
time
effort, love, cherishment
but
lack, hate, abandonment
and
some think that’s
beautiful
some are a
bit
more cynical than
that
sand is sand.
